Bugema University Secures Significant Book Donation Through Competitive Grant Award
The grant was obtain ed through a competitive proposal submitted by the Directorate of Research and Publication in collaboration with the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), Dr. Rossette Kabuye. The donation comprises high-quality textbooks and scholarly materials spanning key disciplines such as Psychology, English, Research Methods, Mathematics, and several other foundational subject areas.
This contribution comes at a pivotal time as Bugema University continues to expand its academic infrastructure and enhance learning resources to support both students and faculty. The donated materials will enrich departmental libraries, elevate course content delivery, and provide learners with updated information aligned with international academic standards.
In his remarks, Dr. Eria Muwanguzi expressed sincere appreciation to Book Aid International for its enduring support to higher education institutions across Africa. He noted that the grant significantly advances the University’s mission of fostering academic excellence and innovation. Dr. Muwanguzi further acknowledged the critical role of the Office of the DVC–Academics in coordinating, reviewing, and endorsing the grant application.
Dr. Rossette Kabuye reaffirmed the strategic importance of the donation, emphasizing its direct contribution to improving resource accessibility for undergraduate and graduate students, particularly in areas relating to research and scholarly writing. She underscored the University’s continued commitment to pursuing additional partnerships and resource-mobilization initiatives that enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
The University Administration commended the Directorate of Research and Publication for this achievement and called upon all academic departments to fully utilize the donated materials to advance knowledge creation, instructional quality, and research productivity.
