Duration of the Programme
The Bachelor of Science with Education at Bugema University is a 4-year (8-semester) full-time program, with part-time options extending to 5–6 years, designed to equip future science teachers with expertise in biology, chemistry, physics, and integrated sciences, alongside advanced pedagogical skills. The Diploma in Science Education, a 2-year (4-semester) foundational course extendable to 3 years part-time prepares students for immediate classroom impact or seamless progression to degree studies. Both programs, offered with August and January intakes, emphasize hands-on lab work, teaching practice, and ethical leadership rooted in Seventh-day Adventist values, ensuring graduates are ready to inspire and innovate in Africa’s educational landscape.
