Message From The H.O.D

I warmly welcome you to the Department of Arts Education at Bugema University’s School of Education. In a world enriched by creativity, cultural expression, and human connection, we are dedicated to shaping passionate teachers, curriculum innovators, and advocates of the arts through our Bachelor of Arts with Education and Diploma in Arts Education. Anchored in Seventh-day Adventist values and the holistic 3H approach (Head, Heart, Hand), we cultivate educators who honour Africa’s vibrant artistic traditions while embracing modern expression.

Our curriculum integrates deep study of literature, visual arts, music, drama, and languages with dynamic teaching methods, hands-on workshops, and ethical leadership. In inspiring studios and collaborative environments, students develop inclusive, imaginative curricula that nurture critical thinking and moral growth, preparing them to transform classrooms and communities throughout Uganda and beyond.

Join us on this creative journey of impact and purpose; your vision will inspire generations and reflect our mission of service.

Mr. Hafashimana Samuel
